So, what exactly are eco-friendly body care products?

We like to say that they are products that are made from natural, renewable, and sustainable ingredients, and that have minimal impact on our planet during production, use, and disposal. These go green products typically do not contain harmful chemicals, synthetic fragrances, or artificial preservatives, which can be toxic to both humans and the environment. Examples of eco-friendly body care products include:

  1. Organic and natural skincare products made from plant-based ingredients that are free from synthetic chemicals and preservatives.

  2. Biodegradable and compostable body wipes made from natural materials such as bamboo or cotton.

  3. Reef-safe sunscreen that does not contain harmful chemicals that can harm coral reefs and marine life.

  4. Eco-friendly deodorants made from natural ingredients that do not contain aluminum, parabens, or other harmful chemicals.

  5. Natural and organic soaps, shampoos, and conditioners that are free from synthetic fragrances, sulfates, and other harsh chemicals.

  6. Bamboo toothbrushes and dental floss made from natural materials that are biodegradable and eco-friendly

Do we have favorite brands? Sure we do 💚 Here are Club Leaf’s five eco-friendly body care brands that we love:

Loveli Loveli is a Dutch brand whose products are 100% natural and junk-free - a golden combination in this time of climate crisis. Loveli's products also never contain horrible ingredients that we often find in body care products like Aluminium, Silicone, Parabens, SLS/SLES, Nano, Palm oil, PEGs, or Synthetic fragrance/dyes. Loveli’s care range includes eco-friendly and natural face, body and lip creams and oils. And they are all eco-friendly produced at Rebel Nature in Amsterdam.

Lekker Lekker’s approach to skin care is simple. To keep skin healthy and happy by using natural and nourishing ingredients such as organic coconut oil and rapeseed wax. All ingredients in Lekker products are carefully selected to create 100% vegan and cruelty-free formulas. All of Lekker’s products are completely water-free and recyclable. For every sale, they donate 1% to charity. Lekker has successfully released their eco-friendly and natural deodorant, lip balm and sun care ranges to the market since 2014.

HappySoaps HappySoaps have three better prepositions than the rest of their competitors. One, they use natural ingredients that are not harmful to people and the planet. Two, their products are eco friendly, 100% plastic-free, free of palm oil, vegan and handmade in the Netherlands. And finally three, their products last at least 3x longer than traditional plastic packaging. This is because traditional packaging, for example, consists of 80% water and HappySoap Bars: 0%! This way water is saved, which can be better used as drinking water. These three philosophies have been translated to all of their body, face, oral and home cleaning range for those wanting a go green lifestyle.

Wondr Looks like they want it all; quality eco-friendly products that are kind to people and the environment. Ones that look incredibly nice, smell wonderful and are super practical to use. So they create premium, sustainable alternatives to everyday products; Wondr. Their hair, body, face and shaving products are packed with natural ingredients, wonderfully foaming and gentle on skin, without nasties like sulfates, parabens or silicones. 100% go green, plastic-free, animal-free and vegan.

Lush Lush is one of the body care brands that pioneered eco-friendly production processes and products. Lush specialize in fresh, self-preserving handmade cosmetic products from ethically and directly sourced ingredients that are 100% vegetarian as well as never being tested on animals. To top these off, Lush uses only recycled, recyclable, reusable, or compostable materials for packaging. What’s not to love about them? Want to go green today? quickly get to the nearby Lush shop.
