Supporting projects that deliver for people and the planet

Land projects
Halt biodiversity loss and restore ecosystems
Project strategies
Carbon offsets allow us to address activities that we cannot avoid or reduce - in addition to funding solutions for a better, low-carbon future. We support three types of projects: land, energy and community-based. All of these are based on the very latest scientific research to ensure they have maximum impact.
Energy projects
Support the transition to clean and affordable renewable energy

Gold Standard sets requirements to design projects for maximum positive impact in climate and development, and to measure and report outcomes in the most credible and efficient way.
Verified Carbon Standard is a standard to certify carbon emissions reductions. Projects developed under the VCS Program must follow a rigorous assessment process in order to be certified.
The Climate, Community & Biodiversity Standards The VCS Climate, Community and Biodiversity (CCB) standard identifies projects that simultaneously address climate change, support local communities and smallholders, and conserve biodiversity.
How do we choose our projects?
All of our projects contribute to multiple UN Sustainable Development Goals by improving the livelihoods of local communities. We are guided by the very latest scientific research, and only select the most effective projects in combating climate change.
What’s more, each and every one of our projects is verified by the highest voluntary carbon offsetting standards, for people and the planet.
Community projects
Provide sustainable solutions for better livelihoods
